1973 MG MIDGET 1273.  MANUAL, RESTORED, IN FANTASTIC CONDITION.

Original chrome bumper in its original colour scheme as shown by heritage certificate. Original dealer was in Northern island hence the registration number from new . Originally this car would have come with rosstyle wheels but been converted to chrome wires on spin on hubs with 2 ear caps. The spare is also a chrome wire .
The original colour was as you see (Bracken ) Orange but in its 1st restoration (2006) it was put to red then in its latest restoration taken back to the original . The paint finish and bodywork are excellent and testament to a great job. There is a large amount of photos in the history file to show the restoration process . The original restoration was huge, photos show car was stripped to a shell , spun upside down and everything was repaired and painted. Full engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, diff rebuild, wiring , everything was done. Only to be repeated years later to as it is today . All the bright work is excellent . The hood is as new and it has a half tonneau for the hood when it is down. . This car has been lovingly kept and not driven on wet road for many years.

The interior and boot space are very good indeed having been used sparingly since restoration. The car drives lovely on the open road and our tests unveil no untoward noises , rattles etc. everything performed as one would expect from a restored classic. The engine bay is super clean and everything is present and correct. The brakes are servo assisted and function well. This is an inexpensive classic convertible that will give a lot of enjoyment for its next owner as it did for the last. He was very sad to see it go. Mileage shown on speedo is mileage covered since full restoration .
