FIAT TOPOLINO BELVEDERE, 1954 – EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION.

Fiat Topolino Belvedere-1954. The much loved Topolino was manufactured from the late Thirties and took a twist in the early Fifties to appease the farming/working and rural community. The station wagon version was created. With its easy access fold back door, low floor and fold flat back seats it made a very useable small vehicle. This version is called a “Metalica”. The very early version had timber panels .There are only a handful of these left as they rotted. This 1954 is still a very rare car and creates a lot of conversation at shows etc.   Fully restored in Italy and recently imported the condition is 1st class. The car is fully registered and ready to go.

The Bodywork and paintwork are excellent. The panel gaps are very good and the car is super straight. The original colour scheme paintwork is very good indeed. The chrome is either new or been re chromed. On sunny days there is the full length fold back roof and sliding windows front and rear.  The interior is again as new. With its original cockpit style bucket seats, fold flat rear bench seat its very useable. It is surprisingly roomy inside. The period dash clocks all appear to be functioning correctly. The unique ignition key is fab. Just push the pin style key into the hole in the dash and that’s ignition on. The rear boot compartment area is A1 and houses the spare wheel. The fold flat option is a great asset for taking luggage, picnic or carrying the dog for trips away its so useable.  Up front the quirky styling gives the Topolino its name .In Italian Topolino means “little Mouse”. Under the bonnet is a small aluminium 4 cyl engine which really does run like a clock. The engine and engine bay are super clean and detailed and a definite candidate for having the bonnet up at shows, as is a huge talking point for any classic enthusiast. The Two tanks are for fuel and water/coolant.

If your looking for something very rare, different from the rest, easy to drive and maintain, a huge talking point, full of character classic car then this could be for you.
